What better way to spend a wet, chilly Spring than six feet underground, working out what to do with the basement? Seeing as I’m way behind with posts, here’s a quick catch up of what we’ve been up, down below. First job was to get some guys round to dig out a French drain in an effort to stop the mini swimming pool that appeared every time it rained.
Next job was disposing of decades of clutter (yes, I know we’ve only been here two years – where does it come from?), and painting.
Then shelves to store all the clutter we couldn’t bear to part with.
Interior walls courtesy of last year’s Solstice Parade float (which reminds me….)
Finally, some new flooring to keep your laundry area clean, dry and tidy. If you can the seam where I screwed this up slightly, please pretend you can’t.
