Solstice 11– One-armed float building

So pretty much every spare minute in May and June is occupied with Solstice Parade-related activities. Here’s a quick run-through of the build. This year, the theme was ‘Awakenings’ – the dancers had a bit of a calmer choreography and we wanted to reflect that in a little less complicated, more flowing float. Plus I couldn’t lift, haul, cut or screw anything, so we did what we could. (Big kudos to Karen for doing far more than her fair share!).

Here’s the float getting painted over and repaired from last year.
