I’m not saying I could do a full seven-nighter, but there was something pleasantly novel about gliding through the Sound on a boat where you *don’t* have to pull any ropes, cook on a spluttery wood stove or worry about hitting rocks…

Naturally, we dressed for dinner. Which wasn’t half bad, as a matter of fact. Oh yes, our cabin had a wee balcony, which was well worth it.

Then a cheesy covers show where Karen fell asleep (during ‘Neil Diamond’!), an even cheesier disco, some highly enjoyable karaoke and, of course, what better way to finish the night than with an artificial rodeo?
