Back to Seattle for just one night before we’re off again – this time with the minimum of effort. That’s right, it’s the Harris siblings very first cruise…
On the Sapphire Princess – first things first, grab a glass of bubbly and hit the hot tub. Check out those nails!
I’m not saying I could do a full seven-nighter, but there was something pleasantly novel about gliding through the Sound on a boat where you *don’t* have to pull any ropes, cook on a spluttery wood stove or worry about hitting rocks…
Naturally, we dressed for dinner. Which wasn’t half bad, as a matter of fact. Oh yes, our cabin had a wee balcony, which was well worth it.
Check out that sunset! Straight from a tour ship brochure…
Then a cheesy covers show where Karen fell asleep (during ‘Neil Diamond’!), an even cheesier disco, some highly enjoyable karaoke and, of course, what better way to finish the night than with an artificial rodeo?
And here’s the view we woke up to in the morning. Vancouver at dawn looks lovely.
